Puffin Season

Skomer Island, Wales. April 2026

For a few weeks each year, Skomer Island becomes home to thousands of breeding puffins.

They arrive from the sea with beaks full of sand eels, disappearing into burrows before heading straight back out again. A remarkable few hours spent watching one of Britain’s most charismatic seabirds at close quarters.
